Overview
An imaginative, highly interactive conceptual promotional website for the film Big Hero 6, utilizing simulated eye-tracking and advanced cursor interactions.
The Challenge
Movie promotional sites are often quickly forgotten. The challenge was to create a visceral, emotional connection with the character of Baymax through a purely digital medium, pushing beyond standard click interactions.
The Solution
I implemented a massive, screen-filling 3D render of Baymax where his eyes dynamically track the user's cursor across the screen in real-time. The interface was intentionally stripped of almost all UI elements, forcing the user to engage directly with the character. The typography was made ultra-bold and responsive to scroll depth.
The Impact
A breakthrough in interaction design, proving that subtle, physics-based interactions (like eye-tracking) can drastically increase user dwell time and emotional engagement.
